The Purpose of Emmaus is to spark renewal in the church body through the development of leaders to be faithful and committed disciples of Jesus Christ. Emmaus strengthens the spiritual lives of participants, deepens their discipleship and rekindles their gifts to be taken back into their churches. This is accomplished not only through the 3-day experience but is to be carried over to the Fourth Day by participating in Reunion Groups, Gatherings, sponsorship, teaming, prayer, support of other Walks and the community.
Participants are called to share the grace they've received with their family, community, and world. They are to become disciples of Christ who are active in their local church as well as participants in God's mission to the world.
